Purpose of the website

The website www.cristinamodreanu-therapy.com presents general information about the psychology services offered, as well as information on booking sessions. This website is public and can be accessed by any visitor interested in our activity. As a result, we may receive or collect information about you even if there is (as yet) no contractual or therapeutic relationship between us.

We may also use the personal data you send to the contact details published on the site to respond to your inquiries.

Definition of personal data

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

The website cristinamodreanu-therapy.com processes the personal data it collects in accordance with the principles and provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the General Data Protection Regulation — GDPR).

The data we collect about you

When you visit our website, we do not collect information that can identify a natural person (name, surname, address, phone number, email) — unless you contact us using the contact form or request a session, in which case you voluntarily provide us with this data.

We automatically collect certain data that does not normally allow the identification of a natural person: IP address, approximate geographic location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, visit duration, and pages viewed — information used to improve the functioning of the website.

Health data (special category of data, under Article 9 GDPR): if you become a client of the practice, information about your emotional and mental state may be discussed during psychology sessions. This data is collected solely for the purpose of providing therapeutic services, is subject to professional confidentiality, and benefits from enhanced protection under both the GDPR and the professional code of ethics for psychologists (COPSI). This data is processed only on the basis of your explicit consent, expressed through your request for and participation in sessions.

How we use personal data

To improve the design and content of the website, we use aggregated data that does not allow the identification of a natural person.

The personal data we collect when you contact us or book a session is used solely for the purpose for which it was provided: to respond to your request and to organize/conduct the sessions. We will not contact you for any other purpose unless you expressly request it, and we will not disclose, transmit, rent, or sell your personal data to third parties, except with your consent or where we have a legal obligation to do so.

Data collection by third-party websites

Our website may contain links to third-party organizations' websites. We have no control over the information collected by these third parties, so we recommend that you review their privacy policies.

Cookies

Our website uses a minimal number of cookies to ensure the site functions properly. For detailed information, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

International data transfers

If we use services hosted outside the European Economic Area (for example, certain video conferencing platforms for online sessions), these comply with standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission for data protection.

Our commitment to data security

We have adopted reasonable procedures and practices for securely storing information in electronic or physical format, designed to prevent unauthorized access, modification, or transmission of personal data.

We also require third-party service providers (e.g., hosting, email) to adopt appropriate data security measures. All individuals who have access to confidential data and information are required to maintain its confidentiality.

Rights of the data subject

  • The right to rectification of inaccurate personal data.
  • The right to erasure of data ("the right to be forgotten"), particularly when the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or when you withdraw your consent.
  • The right to restriction of processing, under certain conditions provided for by the GDPR (e.g., you contest the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful, you object to erasure and request restriction instead).

  • The right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data.
  • The right to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time.

Legal basis for processing personal data

The personal data collected is used solely for the purposes stated in this policy. Depending on our relationship with you, we process data on the basis of the following legal grounds, under Article 6 GDPR:
