Somatic Experiencing®, a body-oriented therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Peter A. Levine, is internationally recognized for its effectiveness in healing physical and emotional trauma, stress, and their long-term effects.
Rather than focusing solely on thoughts or retelling life stories, this approach emphasizes awareness of bodily sensations. Attention is given to the body’s responses in order to support nervous system self-regulation and to restore the connection between body, mind, and emotions.
Through this process, Somatic Experiencing® supports the renegotiation and integration of past trauma, helps to reduce anxiety and chronic stress, and contributes to greater emotional stability, vitality, and resilience.
